About Ria Phatarphekar-Karmarkar

Ria is an Applied Theatre Practitioner with a focus on co-creation with young people and communities, to create meaningful work that inspires hope, joy and an opportunity to showcase underrepresented voices.

Ria works part-time at Women‘s Environmental Network, and freelances for arts charities on work centering marginalised and racialised communities.

Having previously worked with The Proud Trust, a LGBT+ Youth Charity, Ria is also a trained Youth Worker and often facilitates arts and theatre related projects for children and young people.
